I got this for not very much and trying to make some space so thought I would get it out the door.

    It's 41" x 29".

Does anyone recognize the signature of D. Gardner?

This paint treatment concerns me as it demonstrates speed. As always, it would be helpful to see the back.

the staples say it's a modern work..... but the size is not something you throw in your luggage to take home... easily !

I like the way it's framed as well.

I understand Deb's concern........ but there's so much more going on there than just the plants........ so if it was made for sale to tourists.... fine...... but it's far from your average tourist trap one hour knock off...... imo

Could be a local street artist, not mass produced. It looks vaguely Mediterranean, but a fantasy for sure - not enough houses around that beach.

There are quite a number of paintings signed D. Gardner on offer on eBay. They appear to be decorative, of a variety of unobserved scenes, and there are slight variations in the artist's signature.

Most Mediterranean beaches don't have the extremely built-up areas of some of the crowded tourist towns on the Spanish coasts etc. Most actually don't have towns on them. But even with tourist towns the beaches are usually not over-crowded. For instance, Anaxos in Greece:

I've been going to the wrong coasts!

    That's why I like California.
    850 miles of coastline.
