Hello All--Wondering if anyone recognizes this pottery mark... Can't seem to find another example online. 20250730_165114.jpg 20250730_165124.jpg 20250730_165119.jpg 20250730_165208.jpg 20250730_165108.jpg

The mark looks like some Asian characters. However, looks like a nice piece of studio pottery to me.

Nice vase, the glaze looks a bit like 'tea dust glaze'. With those rather wide, squat characters, I wonder if it is Korean.

Third - the mark looks like it's in Korean. I wouldn't know about the glaze, and those grow feet and move about even if I did.

He hasn't been here for a while, but maybe @Philip Maise can help. Let's see if this tag is the means to get him here :)

"Asao Takashima was born in Kyoto in 1937. Creates works mainly of object firing, and exhibits at the Kyoto Exhibition, Kyoto Crafts and Art Exhibition, etc. After that, he started producing modern crafts and exhibited at the Kyoto Craft Exhibition, the Osaka Design House Exhibition, and the New Craft Exhibition. He has won gold, silver, and bronze awards, and in recent years he has produced flower vases, ornaments, etc. centered on modern crafts."
