    Hi,
Can anyone make out the artist of this painting? I see M. Kaplan, maybe?
Also, my phone's camera isnt good enough, but the chalet(?) or house really look 3D in person - it is amazing (1 of the reasons I bought it; I'm not usually a mountain landscape painting type!
Also, the stamp on the back - the canvas maker? What language is it?
As always, thank you for any help!

The last bit of the name looks like 'land' to me. It is an Alpine painting, probably Austrian, so the name is likely to be German.

Neither canvas nor frame look terribly old. The internet says if the logo doesn't include "München," post-World War II.

    Sniped by Debora.;)

The stamp is probably the manufacturer of the canvas.

Hubert Kaplan? No, I don't. It's his type of subject matter but the execution is a bit simplistic for Kaplan (to my eye.) And Kaplan seems to sign with his full name.
