I found this sweet little doll that needs some TLC. I can't seem to figure out which doll or what year she is from. She has jointed elbows and knees. When you move her legs, her head moves from side to side. She is 18" tall. Her hair looks like a glued on wig. Can someone please help me identify? Thank you!!! Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I think it is probably a Winnie Walker doll. The dollreference website says that Winnie Walker had a glued-on wig and the very similar Binnie Walker had hair rooted in a vinyl cap. There is some information almost halfway down this page:
    https://www.dollreference.com/alexander_dolls1948-1960s.html

I hadn't checked that site in a while. They have done a visual makeover, but the same information is there.

Edit: oh, and that page says the doll is from 1953-1955.

I thought it might be a Winnie or Binnie Walker doll, but they don't seem to have jointed arms.

    Hm, I don't know.

I did just find this blog post that says "some later Binnie Walkers had vinyl arms that were jointed at the elbow." But I see that your doll is jointed at the shoulder, elbow, and wrist! https://www.dollstringing.com/2008/09/a-note-on-winnie-walkers-and-binnie.html?m=1

Maybe just look online for any listings that mention the jointed elbows and wrists? Looks like they weren't common, though. I have a 15-inch one (can't remember whether Binnie or Winnie) that has only the shoulder joint. Not the other two.

THIS appears to be your doll but unfortunately they don't seem to know much about her either. "Active Miss".

EDIT: HERE she is again! "Active Miss"/"Sweet Violet" from 1954.
She has the Cissy face, which is very popular.

I just found this reply on an old Collectors Weekly question, from a person who had a fully jointed doll.

"She is most apt to be the sought after Active Miss and Sweet Violet which were the only dolls with this body, which is probably why the dolls is so sought after by collectors — not to mention so valuable: It's unique Active Miss has the lovely Cissy face that was also used on Winnie Walker and Binnie Walker. The really interesting thing about her, though, is that her body is fully jointed: In addition to be jointed in the usual places (neck, shoulders, and hips), Active Miss is also jointed at the elbows, wrists, and knees. Active Miss was only made for one year, 1954"

Oh, great! You got it. Great searching, @bluumz !

Apparently, Active Miss and Sweet Violet are basically the same doll but Sweet Violet has dark violet-colored eyes and she came in a different dress/outfit.
