Featured Looking for ID on ceramic vase

    It's not mine. I'm just curious. About 8" high and 6" across. When I picked it up, I was sure it would say Germany, but it does not. It has a ginger jar shape. No idea if it ever had a lid, A nice orange glaze. I have only 2 views to work with. Can anyone decipher the marks?

    Thanks! Did you do that with image search? I tried image search and got nowhere. Is there a reasonable online image of comparable marks? Seems to do alright price-wise. Can it be dated?

    from the marks themselves i would think 1930s ish (just a feeling) maybe up to 50s

    don't think it would of had a lid either, any signs/wear to indicate that it had?

    Thanks for all the help. It's not a name I've heard before.

    I didn't look at it critically. From the photo, looks like there may be some flaking at the rim. I'll give it a second look, but I still have no interest in buying. I will pass the information along. Thanks again.

    no worries mate, thats supposed to read Holland?:watching: (puts glasses on):playful:, but there you go. think we would have struggled without the bird feeder ;):)
