What do y’all think about this ring? Antique or not? What might the green stone be? The only mark is STERLING on the inside of the band. Thanks!!!
Sorry, I didn’t clean it well. That is green play-dough behind the snake head.

I doubt it's jade. Not sure what it actually is though. Maybe glass.

Thank you! What would be your guess in the age of the ring?

I was also thinking maybe a green agate? Anytime I don’t know what a stone it is, it always seems to be agate of some sort. I really do need a gemstone tester.

    I'd say 1970's , but that's a guesstimate .....

Green agate is generally dyed a uniform green.

It could be 1970s, but I wouldn't rule out Arts & Crafts.
Could you show us the STERLING mark? I know insides of bands can be difficult to photograph, it works best of you put it down on a white piece of paper.
You can take a bigger photo and crop it. If you have trouble cropping it, one of us can do that for you.

I will try that later today when the sun is out. There is too much shadow now and the mark is not too clear.

I don’t know if this matters, but it a size 4. Sometimes I think smaller rings are older because people were smaller back in the day. But it could just be a small pinky ring.

That is 15 here in NL (diameter in millimeters), I agree, likely to be a pinky ring.
I am leaning towards Arts & Crafts.
Snake jewellery was very popular at the time, and the use of jadeite jade is more in keeping with the period and style.
