a good buy i think, looks an interesting studio pottery piece

the piece that mr boland liked was the potters wheel he made the pieces from (supposedly)

haven't checked who it is yet, came from the same place as the leach teabowl(said bob;))

She is lovely. By Leonard (Len) Stockley from Weymouth, aka "the Weymouth Potter".

There are terracotta Medieval kings and queens a bit down the page, but not nearly as nice as your lady on horseback.
Halfway down the page are two very nice figures on horseback, but your lady is more beautiful.

Several glazed vases etc on ebay and etsy.

    thanks mate

i'm wondering now if the clearance was of a serious potter collector, and that wheel was significant

but he did say he's sold some in the hundreds recently so :wacky:

i know with me he says a price he knows i'm comfortable with (or will say yes to)

I prefer her unpainted. This way the linear quality of the design is emphasized. Less fuss, more Modernism.:)
