I have had a good selling season so far this year, which is both a blessing and a curse! I have a show this Saturday and I am low on pins, bracelets and purses. I dug into my repair pile and found a few items that I repaired in time for the show.

Today I went to the pickers flea I go to every Wednesday and holy cow - I'm saved!!!! I found 4 purses, 6 bracelets, 1 rhinestone covered compact and 14 pins

 

I bet the crescent moon pin goes first.

 

The second one from the top on the left is Hollycraft, the bottom right one is Weiss. I also like the pink one, and old Czech pin.

 

The Hollycraft would be my pick for first to amscray. That is, if a lucite purse doesn't beat it out of the door. Maybe it'll leave in the purse.

I posted a few days ago that supposedly, brooches are making a comeback.
Since one of the things you were "running low on" was pins, could this be a fact with your sales, or do you always do well on jewelry sales?

 

I'd grab the rhinestone compact first.

 

I always do well with pins, but this year has been even better. One show I sold 15, the next show 17, and I have sold more Victorian sash pins this year than the last three years combined!

 

WOW. Ten years ago you couldn't give them away and now they're doing a runner. Sell to the walls, girl!

Can't post a picture. But if you find incandescent light bulbs buy them if you see them. I sold a set of 8 75 W bulbs yesterday for $29.99, So last night I posted a set of 8 100W bulbs for $35.99 they sold today for asking price. I'm in shock. I have 6 more sets !
I see sets of 8 75 W bulbs selling for $45.99! I sold too cheap! LOL

A few things I found recently.
A pretty transferware plate, Edward and George Phillips 1822-34.




After years and years of thrifting, it's the first time I found a staple repair! I was pretty excited about this teacup. Unmarked, possibly Ridgway.

 

So cool on that staple repair! It speaks history.

 

Those are the best ones! If the repairs cost more then a piece is worth, it makes you wonder about why they repaired it.

 

I found this in an antique mall recently.
A Victorian garnet conversion ring with collet setting. I suspect it was once an earring component.
Mounted in silver.

 

It does look like a fix-me. I'm glad someone saved it, or maybe converted one pair of mom's earrings as gifts for two daughters.

 

I have to go through my stashes and get brooches out....I have so many. I think today's fashions don't lend themselves to brooches. When I wore suits as a casino supervisor, I wore a brooch every day. I also had wool or cashmere coats (and one alpaca) that I wore brooches on.

 

Normally I'd balk at anything priced $100 at a goodwill, but today I found this 51 piece set of 1962 royal Albert old country roses. 40 plates, 7 tea cups, 2 serving plates, cream and sugar dishes
