Got outbid on the items that I primarily attended the auction for, but I am quite pleased with this purchase. I thought that these were too cool to pass up since I collect antique postcards and enjoy postcards showing industry and mining and these have really great graphics too. A lot of them seem to have a connection with the Peacock Coal Company of Pomeroy, Ohio. Got about 80 pieces in the collection, will post a few more later. They are a fascinating read if the business of mining interests you. See some similar letterheads/billheads on eBay and they have some lofty asking prices.

    Please share your thoughts,

Those companies must have been very prosperous at the time to be able to afford that type of letterhead. I miss letters a little, especially well written business correspondence. It's all emails and texts now with multiple spelling and grammatical errors.

Nice find, those letterheads are works of art!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Makes me wonder about the stories behind some of these. Interesting, and nice graphics!

Now you just need some postcards related to the company, if you don't have some already.

RPPCs do exist of buildings you wouldn't expect. The trick is finding them.
