...these were 2 interesting bits i picked up as well 3each (tag on one is old tag)

they were together with some penny licks 10each but didn't see much profit in them(pretty ordinary looking ones)

don't really know what a toddy (drink?) crusher is, so don't know if the label is right

haven't a clue on the other bit

    any thoughts or info appreciated

The second item looks like a Muddler for crushing mint and other things to go in your drinks. So maybe it's a Muddler here and a Toddy Crusher over there.

    AI version:

A muddler is a long, slender bartending tool used to gently crush or mash ingredients like mint, citrus, and sugar in the bottom of a glass. This process releases the essential oils and juices from the ingredients, which enhances the flavor and aroma of cocktails like mojitos and mint juleps.

The first item I've seen referred to as a Bottoms Up glass. It wasn't meant to be set down. When you've finished the drink, you slam it down on the bar to signal for another. When it's glass, you have to be careful how hard you slam. Here they were frequently made in the shape of a woman with her bottom up (naughty version).

I have come across those other glasses (or very similar) before and figured they were weird flower vases missing a stand/holder. Sometime later I saw a box of ‘newish’ modern glasses with a pointy design (not footings) I think designed as funky champagne glasses. Looked pricey but very impractical to me.

yeah i think very cool if a glass mate, and your not the first to ponder about it being a glass flute for a (one of those thingy's);)

Nice muddler. I have had some that are attached to swizzle sticks but the measurements are different. Drink ware can be a good seller. Nice finds.

thanks pearls, yeah i can understand why, whether it be for a home bar or real bar for display etc

i'm guessing the glass is somewhat unsual then(if thats what is is) haven't been able to find anything similar, hard to put an age on it also

looks like one could be pre-Victorian and the other modern...

try searching for antique glass sugar crushers; seems these were later called toddy sticks, and a precursor to the more modern term of muddler.

also, try champagne pomponnette for the footless flute:

    massive help ;) thanks Tallcakes

    toddy:

thats good it being an early one (with snapped off pontilmark)

    Glass:

while measuring (5inch/13cm by 6.5cm) i found a mark ! (dont cha love it when that happens:woot:)

although size is different i find it too similar to the linked one to not be closely related (in age) (was always a potential thought)

    think it says LOLA ?

don't know why i'm quite as tickled with the drinking glass as i am

think because i had no clue, and haven't seen one before probably, and the novelty of it as well i guess
