Image results come back as mostly a betel nut box. A single result comes back for African (Nigeria) which I like a little better for this one. I’m not sure at all though. Its walls are incredibly thin. You could poke your finger through it almost. Someone may have as there’s a little hole in the side. I’m not sure the handle is original. It may be though. 8” diameter. So I guess if it’s a betel nut box it would be a family size. Any thoughts on this one? 89511350-AEE3-482F-9FFA-06E9DC325328.jpeg C6AA3E67-9995-4ECA-88AB-B5A6DDA00457.jpeg 14368268-7F58-4D96-9C59-F33542487933.jpeg 5940DEDA-9072-483F-ABDB-6C9F05DA6ED8.jpeg 962DF152-3A09-45A0-B7C1-AD7E3436336C.jpeg

Business seems to have been around from the 1960s into the 1980s. Located at 737 North Cienega Boulevard and described as an "Importer of Continental Antiques." Dealer was Charles Buko (which appears to be the name on the item's sticker.)

I agree. Patina, if nothing else...an a far cry from the Nigerian vessel's finial.
