Victorian or 30s folk art plaque

    i'm thinking victorian, but wasn't there things like this in the 30s as well

    actually thinking about it....that horizon is very deco pottery isn't it, almost clarice cliff inspired ;)

    so could be 30's or even later

    The costume is, of course, Victorian but the plaque is much later. From her hair and make-up, I'd think 1930s maybe into the 1940s right.

    that sounds about right i think Deb. Did at first think victorian folk art, but the horizon looks typically from that period i would think

    It's a very 1930s bedroom or similar piece. Maybe as late as 1950, and done before metal was readily available again after WWII.

    A lot of these seem to be pyrography with added paint.

    spot on mate, and forgot about that (a good term to add to description)

    the horizon is pornography (o no a typo;)) also the branches are
