I had a pair of egg cups that were pretty ugly. I decided to test it on one. Ordered some of the good peroxide on line. Freaked out my husband when a gallon of peroxide showed up but I have quite a bit of china in this condition. Here's the proof. Treated and untreated next to each other. It's only been about 12 hours so I'm going to leave it longer to get out more of the residual staining but I'm very happy with the results

Is "the good peroxide" different from the usual stuff in the drug stores?

It's a lot more concentrated. You wouldn't want to gargle with it.

Looks great. I've never really played with peroxide. I have been tempted to though. Be interesting to see what it bleaches and what it doesn't.

The peroxide that works the best is the kind you can buy in a beautician's shop. You must be very careful when using it - always wear rubber gloves, always wear eye protection, and use it in a well-ventilated area. If you do get it on your skin, rinse it off immediately. In my experience using it, the staining comes back eventually.

We use a diluted peroxide product at work called oxivir sporicide to sanitise things. Same safety practices still apply though. Don't want to get it in your eyes at any concentration. A cleaning contractor managed to turn his hands bright white using it without gloves, then complained that it was dangerous. Clearly states peroxide, wear PPE on the bottle. Oof!

I bought some strong peroxide from Amazon and I was very pleased with the results. Of you want to see what mine looked like there will be a thread of mine about Doulton plaques.

Thanks. It would be nice to buy some online without any suspicion or questions asked.
