I dug this up in Aylesbury today. The back looks really old but not sure if this is through age or by design. Looks a bit on the french side to me. Other than that I've drawn a blank here. It looks like there's a massive hospice superstore on the outskirts of town but I'm done with walking today and this week. Oh and this has to be one of the ugliest buildings I ever did see. Brutalist architecture in England. Aylesbury county hall.

I would bet the building looks even worse in winter without the trees and other green stuff.

I did my best to beautify it. I see the building has attracted more interest than the 'les onions plate'. Another one for the rubbish heap. *Smash*.

To a degree. I don't know Johnny. Haven't a clue if it's treasure or junk. Was a complete gamble.

Don't worry I've not smashed it yet.

Don't smash the onions dish. I do like it and considered it for my cyber plate wall. But then I saw the back of it and decided it was too scary. Others are not as squeamish as I.

Do you have any pictures of your cyber plate wall? Would be interesting to see how it fits in. Or us it just a guise for a coconut shy?

Ack, don't smash the plate. There are some distinct folk art decoration on it and so I'm not sure of the age. I do think second half 20th c, but that decoration is reminiscent of some earlier French/Spanish/Italian faience. Google lens was no help at all -- called it a "decorative plate!" No sh*t, Sherlock, LOL!

A garlic head is made up of cloves, onions are made up of layers. So these are onions, red ones by the look of it.;)

Ah I can see the layers now. I could see cloves earlier. Maybe it's a magic plate.
