Featured a ten-thousand-euro casino chip. is it real and how old?

It is from Palais De La Mediterranee in Nice France.
measures about 1 3/4" diameter. looks like Bakelite or some other older plastic
I hope someone can tell me what I have.

opened in 1929 so a nice early plastic definitely a possibility
there might be something about the construction that rules out bakelite (others will know more)

but i do like those numbers at bottom for age, looks like they were hand carved in

 

I wondered about those numbers. This one has a really low number. If it is a serial number?

had a look at others, and they all have different numbers, so i would guess fpr some kind of log, so would think everyone a different number ?

 

The ones I see for sale range from 30-36 euro.

Looks like pre WWII and bakelite to me.

There were ~50 french francs to 1 GBP in 1920. So it would have been worth £200 back then. 130 ff to 1 GBP in 1926. Puts it's value at the time into perspective. I guess the German inflation crisis in the 1920's took its toll on surrounding countries too.
