Featured 'Violet Ray' Quack Medicine Implement

    This still works (the last time I tried it to check it). It has various attachment for different body parts and an instruction manual. There are many on eBay some with many more attachments than mine has. Selling anywhere from about $25 to hundreds.

    OMG, I think my parent's had this. I can recall brushing my hair with a UV brush/comb when I was 8 or 9 years old. It was supposed to be "good for the scalp and hair". It was sort of tingly. Honestly it seemed like a fire hazard in hindsight.

    I didn't know what it was either. But I do know there is a guy who collects items like this because he has a medical quackery museum. They showed it on tv,
    That is where i learned how the expression "don't blow smoke up my skirt" came to pass.

    Similar things are still out there, and for some problems.. what the heck. Might as well give it a shot if nothing else works. One this old though is a fire hazard or a shock hazard. It has a market though.

    I took it to physical therapy once, just to show the therapist and she wouldn't let me plug it in to demonstrate.
