I visited Burnley today. I visited two charity shops a good schlep out of town that I'd not seen before and just about managed to get back to the town centre there minutes before the British heart Foundation closed. These two were stood hiding at the back of the shelf. Not great condition but I really like this style of faience. h=23cm

never had any rouen before, but like it alot more than the 20thc quimper stuff

not seeing much damage, a few placed drops of enamel will fill them no bother

any idea of age ?, thinking at least some, maybe more

Some examples on eBay dating similar to late 19th C. They do have some nasty chips.

i don't mind it so much with faience, seems to add to the charm of it sometimes, if just nibbles/chips, as long as they arent jagged

Small chips in faience happen. I'm more surprised when I find it without.

    The signature looks like Fourmaintraux.

Thanks. They were reduced from £10 to £5. Totally amazed.

They’re very nice and by Desvres . Sadly it doesn’t sell well at the moment. Don’t know why as it used to be very popular.

Thanks John. Passing trends. No one has even looked at them yet on eBay. Someone will come along though I'm sure.
