Nice $1 find at my local flea market. I think this Dior vest is from the 80's or 90's. Made of wool. Daughter thinks it came with matching pants. 0-4.jpeg 0.jpg 0-3.jpeg 0-2.jpeg 0-1.jpg Whatcha think?

Looks like part of a uniform.

Label looks good for pieces i have had before (and have), and go along with 80s

tis a little bit fox hunting no ? (little)

think fashion, but maybe based on type of uniform

It's a licensed piece. Manufactured by Kasper Group and can't be later than 1975 which is when the company began their licensing agreement with Christian Dior. Certainly could have had matching pants.

I'd bet on black pants - part of a uniform from a higher class hotel, is my guess.

Agree with Debora, a licensed piece by Kasper (per the RN number). Such stuff was ready-to-wear sold off the rack in many department stores once upon a time. AI says the Kasper Group held a license to produce and sell designs for the brand Christian Dior from the late 1970s through the early 2000s.
Also agree that it was likely part of an ensemble.
I often see department-store "Dior" in my local suburban thrifts. :)

A work uniform that is Dry Clean Only? Did they clean them in the hotel?

In the old days it wouldn't have surprised me, especially if they shelled out for a Dior label. One of the casinos might have gone for it.

Would have come with a pair of matching red wool bell bottomed pants. Worn with a long-sleeved bow-tied neck blouse. Kasper didn't produce uniforms.

There would have been no major shelling out for a Kasper/Dior piece, it was an affordable mass-produced item made for the middle classes.
But, as Debora says, Kasper wasn't a uniform maker.
