Antique or not?

I didn't have any luck selling this desk when I moved, even for $25, but it is now doing duty in a spare bedroom. I wanted to know if it's an antique or not.

 

Are the drawers dovetailed inside?

 

Now that you mention it, it seems off that the left and center drawers are, but not the right ones.

 

Knee jerk reaction 1950s-60s. I like the lines.

 

I like it. I have matching nesting tables a relative gave me.

My grandmother had one very similar but in light wood when she and my grandpa moved back to Brooklyn from Fla in the 60's

 

I could have used a polishing, but I was in a hurry during moving and didn't take time to "tidy up" anything.

I did polish the floor before leaving permanently, but I would assume the new owners either replaced the hardwood or had it professionally resurfaced because when I went to the open house, the hardwood floors looked mirror-like

 

I agree. Had a few similar pieces in my shop 30 years ago . . good quality, all hardwood, including secondary woods.
