I think this is $3's worth of fun: a vintage Mexican piggy bank. I could hear coins rattling around in it. After some shaking, I got out a 1941 and a 1944 'S' Lincoln wheat penny. ('S' is for the San Francisco mint.) Not valuable, but pretty much helps date--and locate--the piggy bank!

The internet says those are from Tlaquepaque. Can you read the impression on the side?

    The second word is 'Mexico.'

    The first is ' _ _ C O' I think. Maybe 'COCO'?

That's what it looks like to me too. ("Coconut" in English.)

These were $2 each at a community yard sale. The lady said she purchased the Banned brand bat purse in Salem for a Friday the 13th wedding there. I attended a witches dinner annually, the bat purse is going with me this year! Ebay link is for reference only, not my auction.

And a $5 thrift shop teapot. It has the sectioned bottom like one I found earlier this year.

Me too! All the witchy purses! What a great yardsale find. I would probably squeal if I saw those, and end up getting upcharged for my excitement.

Jumble sale finds. £3 for all. The locket is GF by PPC aka Proud Princess Creations, the chain is silver gilt. The 3 colour drop earrings are Egyptian with 18ct mark on the post and 750 on the butterflies.
The threader drops are 9ct except for the butterflies and the silver set earrings are real pearls.

For me it's mostly gold-plated silver if anything. Some Black Hills tri-color pieces are gold, but these days that's often plated silver too if not just plated.

    Nice score, Houseful!

It is pretty and well made. Initially I was a bit disappointed when I got it home to see the marks on the bale weren’t gold hallmarks but it was make I hadn’t come across before and I got it so cheap so I learned something and got a bargain.

Obviously, there is value in gold-filled jewelry. This listing strangely does not show the sold price, so I did a little searching & found it in sold listings on Terapeak. They show it had sold for $855.00.

Search for "Lot Of 393 Grams Gold Filled Jewelry For Scrap Parts Or Some For Use 10k 12k 14k". If you are not convinced, search for just "393 Grams Gold Filled", which is what I used to find the results.

I have bought from this seller, & was curious as to what else he sold.:happy:

Gold-filled is doing very well now. Glad I have been picking it up for 50 years. One of my flea market competitors loves finding gold-plated items...he must know a place that can get the gold out of them.

Thanks for posting, I had no idea. One large U.K. gold buyer company is offering 80p per gram for GF atm.
