Featured Wooden breast carving

Hi all.

Ok i dont think this is antique(as it seems to have the date 2002 on the reverse) but i do think this is well made and id value your opinion on it or any info or insights ye may have.

It has inscription on the reverse which i think says
le Goteley
Charles
2002
But not sure.what ye see?

I realy like this and think its well made and a great use of a piece of wood..I love the grain in the wood too wonder what wood it might be.
Im not sure if id get away with hanging it in our house tho!

A fun use of the natural knot in the wood. The maker saw it and he knew!

I think it’s lovely. Clever use of the wood, and well executed. I could see it on the wall of an upscale lactation consultant’s office. As I’m sure you found yourself, not much of use comes up in a search. Even if you overcome autocorrect so you’re actually searching for the correct words It’s a shame because I’d love to see more by whoever carved this piece.

“Coteley” is apparently a place in the UK, and there is a song called “The Countess of Coteley”, but I was unable to find an audio track or even lyrics.

 

That belongs either in a medical office, get your mammograms y'all, or a mancave. I can see that on @komokwa 's wall now, wife permitting! It's well done

Came expecting a carved wooden beastie of some sort. Have to pay better attention when reading.

Yea i like it.As you say cant find similar with search.i think its well made.clever with colours of wood and knot.

I first thought with the le in front of the Coteley or Goteley it might be a french title or surname but maybe you correct with place name
Yea also to being right at home in a consultants office.

Just when I thought I'd seen it all. It's all gone tits up now.

Initial thought was a prosthetic but would be a fair bit narcissistic of the creator to sign it in such a case. Charles woz 'ere.

 

It looks mighty uncomfortable for wearing purposes too. Not contoured properly on the back. The weight doesn't look far off though.
