Featured few glass bits

a few glass bits i picked up yesterday (all from house clearance shop 10,5,5)

the tall vase look czech, just liked the hummingbird (marked with a 4? on base)

the big globe vase not sure about at all, striking but don't like the look of the pontil clean

the opaline basket looks like it could be one of 2 makers fenton and another one

any help appreciated

 

globe is actually vase like, not full globe

 

why am i imagining little snowmen in the blue basket ?...........might have missed a photo opportunity there

 

I really like the blue basket with or without tiny snowmen.

 

sorry....did i say little snowmen.....i meant proper big snowmen (gathering round) mixed paws

Looks like a kingfisher to me. Some tropical kingfishers have a purplish-maroon head.

 

aha...thank god i think your right (big head)......i even shifted him further off centre because of it (big head)......even thought is that 2

 

I love kingfishers.

 

yeah defo....looks like i can bring his normal well proportioned head to the front now

Agree with Czech on the vase.

I bought three Davidson Pearline items in the same blue colour recently but struggled to sell. Two compotes and a vase. I did pay over the odds though at £14 each. Maybe your basket is more collectable. I also purchased two green uranium compotes by the same, a few years ago and they flew out. I don't think the blue ones are uranium but I'd check anyway just in case.
