Hello all

Hi everyone, I'm only just getting into silver, but it's been quite interesting to learn about so far. My grandmother passed away earlier this year, and she had a smallish, eclectic silver collection. In going thru her things with my family, I enjoyed cataloguing and researching her silver to find out more about what she had and what might be worth trying to sell. In doing so, I fell in love with the Reed and Barton Harlequin spoon sets. She only had the serving pieces from it (a lemon fork, an olive fork, a cream ladle, a jelly server, and a petit four server), but they were so cute, and I really liked that the rest of the series were all different flowers on the spoons. Long story short, I now have almost all of the different pieces that were made (as far as I know). I'm only missing a couple of the original spoons (some are MUCH rarer than others I'm finding), and I have no idea how many other bits there are, but I've got some other random things too.

A bit of a ramble, but I've enjoyed learning what I've learned so far. Thanks for the welcome so far.

sounds like you found a passion/respect from handling/researching (nice items) which is great

theres lots of silver/spoon type items/specialists here so you would be most welcome/happy here
