Early 20th century Italian painting? Help with signature?

    I found this today at a local thrift store. I bought it partly because its the first decent one I've seen in a while!
    Do you agree its early 20th century?
    Can anyone tell who artist's signature it is?

    Frame says 1950s to me, the painting looks factory, BWDIK?

    Given the pickled frame, it appears to be a decorative painting from the 1950s.

    tend to agree (those slanted type sigs are usually like the kiss of death;))

    ....but as far as they go, this ones nor that bad really (at least the colours don't make me wanna turn head away)

    I say this over and over again but... A good way to identify decorative paintings is... They're painted with minimum effort for maximum effect. Look how quickly the stone jetty was produced, for instance. Almost cartoon-like in its simplicity.

    these cookie pop ups are doing my ead in nowadays....where did they come from

    you get those new pop ups that you can't X close anymore as well (without answering)

    Thank you everyone. When I did an image search it said it appeared turn of century Italian with photos of similar looking paintings, so for 25 I took a chance - plus I also found a Andy Warhol poster I'd never for only $20
