Featured Arts and Crafts or Aesthetic Movement Chest?

    Picked up this chest yesterday here in Colorado and initial image searches return similar chests listed as both A&C and AM. Locks have VR and crown marks so is it safe to assume it's from Britain? And is this Oak or Elm? Pulls on top drawers not original but others appear to be. Thanks.     The hardware is British for sure. One of our furniture junkies will know about the rest; it certainly doesn't look American, at least to me.

    I’d say English walnut aesthetic movement chest ca. 1890.

    Thanks for the reply, Ghopper. Now that I'm cleaning it, it does look more like walnut.
