Hi. I bought a sidebar today and I’ve been trying to narrow down what it might be. There are several missing pieces I’ll have to recreate, but it’d certainly be easier if I knew what they were supposed to look like, lol. Here’s a picture, and if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Bought it on Facebook marketplace for cheap. The lady selling it didn’t have any background information on it.

Yeah, lol. That’s the easy part. It’s everything above that’s the tricky part.

    I hope you're good with a lathe! :)

I wonder if it had a marble surface and someone decided it was worth saving for another project...?

Probably did, but white slab marble isn't impossible to replace. A new cut won't be Victorian, but it's doable. Any place that cuts kitchen counters can make it.

Would not be surprised if this were not missing an entire top cabinet nearly equal in size to the bottom.

Agreed. There's a huge hutch or display cabinet missing imo.

Given the price Victorian furniture these days, it would be impossible for it to go the other way! Around here a base with no top would sell for $40/50 USD!

Is real wood furniture finally making a comeback?
