    Hello community!
I found this beauty today. I think it is French late 19th Century. What do you think about date and maker? No marks on the bottom. it is such a shame, seller put price tag on the decoration so partly gold decoration is on the label.
and lid is stuck completely can’t open it! But I will))

    thanks in advance

    Found some information.
the same decoration described as decoration typical of Jean-Baptiste Desvignes 1820s production. During this time, jean-baptiste desvignes found a way to paint on opaline crystal and glass. He used only vegetable-based colors that he affixed to the opaline crystal. The tones, always matte, were limited to dark blue and red. The gilding dominated, using patterns of palmettes, flowers, and garlands.

I've had most success simply soaking the bottle in room temp water to loosen the stopper.
It may lead to losing more of your fragile decoration though.
Is that foot applied in the last photo or have you a crack?

Thanks, I put some water just around stopper foot to keep gold decoration safe. Will see tomorrow how it works.

It is not a crack, that’s how foot applied. More it is looks like someone cut the glass, attached it to the bottom and pushed from one side. Luckily no cracks at all. I do love it and looking forward to clean it inside.

If the bottle has been used to store perfume, the best thing to use to dissolve the perfume gunk is Isopropyl Alcohol. You can use a dropper or syringe to drop the alcohol around the stopper. It looks like there is a small indentation around the stopper, so you will want to be careful not to put too much alcohol there at one time. You wouldn't want to mess up the design on the bottle.

It may take multiple applications to loosen the stopper, so patience is key to preventing the stopper from snapping in half.

thanks! After first night - not a micron of movement but I tried oil, water, and WD40 already. Even glue remover but I’m going to use alcohol few more nights. That could be very helpful.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I hope you are able to remove the stopper, @Lavrentii .
