Just found this little glass pot (2 3/4" tall by 3 1/2" across). No sig that I can find and either no pontil or a finished/polished pontil.
AI comes up with a ton of guesses-any educated opinions out there ? Thanks !

My glass knowledge is fairly limited, but perhaps the Pontil was ground flat so that it would sit flat. Looks like there are remnants of pontil marks on the bottom and grinding marks. It’s got that Murano glass and look, but not sure who could identify it.

In to guess before the experts show up... :D Is the bottom finished clear or matte/semi-transparent when the light hits it? I've read recently that the matte bottoms usually indicate China. I think there's something about the thickness of the white inner layer.... :bookworm:

I'd say the bottoms are slippery smooth, here's a few pics.Excuse the dirt & crumbs in the bowl (yet to be washed ) not imperfections.. bowl8.jpg bowl9.jpg

Those little dots are something I've never noticed in any glass I've looked at. Is it part of the glass or dirt?
If it's in the glass, I wonder what caused it. .....Just Musing! LOL

Bdigger- I'm guessing it's tiny bubbles in the glass (?). Wonder if it might be formed in the 'cased glass'-where one layer is encased/layered within another-not sure.
PS-Thanks for the leads re poss Czech/Kralik.

    My first reaction was Czech.
Could also see it being more modern Chinese.

I'm def no glassie , but my My 'default setting' for the last 5-10 yrs is Chinese. The quality/quantity of their exports is Borg-like !:D
PS-Especially for glass, ceramics and clothing, but prob anything 'fungible' (that the right word ?).
