@Northern Lights Lodge these are larger centerpieces, several with significant embroidery as well. The bluebirds are a favorite, it was often on our breakfast table in my childhood and teen years ...the kitchen was light blue, and the countertops were a nice light blue on top of white metal cabinets, I can still "see" that image.

Images 1 and 2, about 62" diameter; 3 and 4, about 37"; Bluebirds 39"; image 7 is 26" x 64", and only has borders on three sides...probably for a sidetable or dresser? The last images are a 60" x 96" piece, bed or table use I imagine, I get the impression this is a newer, machine made piece?

Mahalo again for looking, or adding any info!

Here we are again with some new pretties! :) Hi @808Beachbum

Ok, #1 -#2 are hand assembled "Battenberg/Battenburg" tape lace. Very popular - late 1800's to 1920ish. There is more information about this type of lace in the "Lace Lesson #17/#18. Ultimately, machine made tapes are basted to a pattern and then the spidery connections between the tapes are hand applied.

#3 - #4 is hand white work with handmade bobbin lace - circa late 1800 - early 1900. General information about bobbin lace in Lace Lesson #6 and also in Lesson #9.

#5 - #6 is absolutely darling! I love it! I can see why the "picture" of the kitchen still stays in your mind! The bluebirds look painted with embroidered details! SWEET! and the lace is beautifully executed crochet lace...and probably is mimicking a bobbin lace design.

#7 is a machine made bobbin lace and can't see clear enough to determine if the embroidery is hand done or machine. I'm wild guessing "machine". Probably a piano topper or pillow cover (which they put over the pillows during the day, so any weekday soil wouldn't show between washdays).

    #8 - 9- and 10 a machine made bobbin lace style tablecloth

Overall some very nice pieces! Enjoy them and thanks for sharing with us!
    Cheerio! Leslie
