here is an extraordinary cherub holding fan blanc de chine vase - it has an English registry mark that dates it specifically to December 8th 1873 - I think it also has a Mintons mark for 1872 - it’s just a tiny mark - would Minton have used the registry mark and the symbol date mark without a Minton logo mark - it just seems like a very limited amount of makers in England for that date that would have produced such blanc de chine and at this quality - it’s just so beautiful so please enjoy the view and advanced thanxies for any help…. I can't see your registration mark clearly but if I'm seeing what I think I see, I think it might date December 5, 1873. If so, Cushion's book on British Ceramic Marks shows two registrations on that day. Harvey Adams & Co, and Wm. Brownfield & Son. They don't show anything on the 8th.

(If so, I'd investigate Brownfield. )

I really really can’t afford them but I put in an offer that would bring them to 1K including shipping and tax - in a few days I will be celebrating 38 years clean and sober and I would really like to treat myself to them - I love them so much - my space is neoclassical - they are a perfect match - wish me luck

While I hope you get those lovely candelabras, it sounds like you've already won! Congrats on 38 years!

WTG @Rclinftl 38 years is a fantastic achievement!

Brownfields is a rather underrated factory, I think.
