I have many such things, but can't help smiling, even chuckling a bit, any time I see Margaret Gutierrez (Santa Clara Pueblo) Storyteller Turtles.

We had a "genuine" naugahyde chair in the early 70s. Green. Don't blame me; no one asked the kids!

I remember it well because when I was a little kid my parents wanted to have our hide-a-bed (another vintage term) sofa reupholstered. They put a lot of effort into deciding which fabric or material to use. From the deepest recesses of my memory, I seem to recall that they chose 'breathable' Naugahyde. It was sort of like little tiles of vinyl joined by something woven. I don't see anything like it in current offerings.

We collect whimsical ceramic novelties. Most are Japanese. We have some salt and pepper shakers but really prefer other things. Pics were just now taken on the fly so not the best quality.
