This ring is marked 925 & also has a capital "B". It measures to a size 6 3/4 on my ring sizer. The stone is a pale aqua color.

If anyone knows what that "B" means, that would be great, but I really need help with the stone.:smuggrin:

Does it have a cat's-eye effect? Or is that a trick of the lighting? For color it looks more like prehnite to me than any other mineral I can think of. Prehnite can occur as a cat's-eye.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. Here is another photo that I believe shows the effect you are referring to in your comment.:smuggrin:

Could be a Chrysoberyl Cat's eye or imitation of one. They are usually honey brown but can range to green too. The Honey colored ones are most valuable.
Imitations are more common than real ones. Good quality ones are rare.
Not to be confused with Tiger's eye.

The chatoyant effect is typically characterized by one or more well-defined bands of reflected light, reminiscent of a cat's eye.

This is the Chrysoberyl Cats eye I have in my collection. I have several, but this is the best. cateye.jpg catseye.jpg

I have one of those in a stickpin. I think the OP's ring is glass. Glass catseyes come in all colors.

Just liked this from the chrysoberyl Wikipedia page: Cyclic trilling of chrysoberyl. Sounds like a mineralogical love song.

Another vote for glass, that pale green is one of the classic glass cat's eye colours.
And the setting is wider than the cabochon, which you see a lot with glass cat's eye jewellery because it costs more to fit the cabochon precisely.
    :sorry:
