Even more from this morning. I am so sorry. It is a lot. But I still have two more to go. If you are getting tired of it skip to the last. Oh, and there is a stick pin in here too. Mostly 14k but one 18k. One of the bands is scripted inside from George to Lora 1869.

Someone repurposed the stones. Are you sure it says "Lora"?

I was wondering if that’s what happened to all the stones. I am pretty sure it says Lora. It also says Dec. 25th. A Christmas gift I guess.

Probably short for Eleanora or some such.

I bet it was a sentimental family. They repurposed stones for younger generations but couldn't bear to part with the original settings.

My names Lora, it's a real name! Just don't see it often.

Seconded. They may have gotten married on Christmas Day. It's been done. My dad reused old family diamonds from worn settings to make my mom's engagement ring... in 1964. My guess is that's what was done.

I'd put an indicolite tourmaline, Montana Sapphire, blue zircon, lab sapphire etc into the platinum or white gold setting and call it solved. The Deco era used lots of sapphires in rings like that, but anything the right size and in blue would work.

Some really nice rings, that can be restored to their former beauty very easily.
Sapphires in the Art Deco ones sounds good, maybe a white sapphire as centre stone in the ring in pics #4 and #5.
And maybe a ruby in the Georgian Revival one (my favourite, although I love AD). A garnet as a cheaper option.
The prongs on some of them need to be restored first, but that is no problem for a jeweller.

I'd go hit up a guy who melts jewelry but saves and resells the stones, and find some that fit and look good. Those rings deserve to live.

No idea. I know an antique dealer who does some of it, but maybe a jewelry store that buys gold?
