I posted this some time ago and can't find the original post. Does anyone have any guesses for the maker?

    Thank you Steve

Just adding to images of mark. Looks like RARAD to me, but gets nowhere in search:

I keep seeing what's going on in the upper part as a volcano erupting, turning my thoughts to Italy.

Like this more impressionistic one than other ceramic kingfishers I'm finding.

I'm seeing an animal with horns (on the right) with his head down behind a tree? Also see RARAD or RARAO or RAKAD or RAKAO but nothing came up in search. Using image search of the mark, it is stating PARIAN but I'm not seeing that at all

It doesn't look at all like 'PARIAN' to me either. There are places where it is difficult to know whether a line is part of the mark or just a stray irregularity. Think I see your animal, but does not look deliberate to me, more like wrinkles.

Looking again, I am not now sure that either letter I've been seeing as R actually is.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It's interesting that both the kingfisher and the kangaroo are common in Australia. I know the seller in the Worthpoint link wrote Austria... but I wonder if the maker could be Australian.

Still if that's a volcano on the top of the mark, that doesn't conjure images of Australia. Apparently there are no active volcanoes in Australia proper.

So, some other country, probably. The word does look like it could be PARADE. The first letter seems more like an R in the Worthpoint link. Hard to tell, though.

I was wondering the same. It does look a bit like a baby kookaburra nodding off. The kookaburra is the Australian sibling of the kingfisher, only much bigger.

Thank you! Funny, I was thinking the same thing, but then did a search and found out that Australia also has several other species of kingfisher. That's why I wrote "kingfisher" -- but it could be Kookaburra, specifically.
