1980 Alva Studios sculptural bust /planter

    Hi all,
    I found this beautiful bust/planter made by Alva Studio in 1980 at a thrift store last week.
    It has Alva Studio 1980 in the bottom base, but there's also something on the bust itself that looks like D O J 1908?
    Can anyone tell me what this is?
