These are already at my cousin's house. The first picture was all sterling. The second included some 14k beads and a piece of carved brown jade. Merry Christmas to his wife.(LOL) The turtles were Liz Palacios IIRC, and the wheat bracelet was John Hardy. The earrings were James Avery.

Two from weeks ago and two from today. The third image vanished into thin air. It was the costume bits from today. Oh well.

The first one was from an estate sale - 14k and CZ (so marked) Paid $20 for it and everything else including sterling earrings and pearls. The 'darnitts' were already donated to my local senior center. One pair never made it off of the donation table before someone bought them. The butterfly was costume, but pretty.

The second two are from a church sale I planned to sleep through. Glad I didn't. A pin that didn't make it into the photos looked like the usual gold-filled..but it isn't filled. Solid 14k with a pearl. The earrings that look like Bollywood dangles have no marks, but test like 14k. The necklace is either a ((((glorp)))) or a ((darnit!)) It's marked 22C and the 18k acid holds up. I don't keep higher in the house. If it's real it's the most valuable find of the year. The last image is all either marked, and I believe it, or unmarked and tested sterling. Add in two jigsaw puzzles and the whole mess was $23.00 ..including two pair of sterling earrings and a chain that were in a FREE box in another room. I don't argue with free sterling.

If it is from India or thereabouts, as the style suggests, well, they don't mess around with anything less than 18K. Higher is standard.

Definitely Indian. I have something similar that's pure costume; I found it with damaged cords and made it into Christmas jewelry officially.

Went to a church sale tonight. Mostly I go every year because they use the money to support causes I support too. Standing up carrying stuff does me no good. I came home with a whatsit that turns out to be a reflector (knew that part) used for trucks and Willys Jeeps. The same reflector turned up on a replacement parts website at $100 over the auction price.

Now to figure out what to do with it. If it had turned up 25 years ago a friend with a 1927 Model A would have gotten it. Now...no idea.:p

Went a bit overboard this week! I have a show coming up the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving and have has a hard time finding nice, vintage Christmas pins for the show, especially trees. So when I saw this listing on eboo I took a chance.

They should arrive Tuesday-Thursday so I will have plenty of time to research and price them all - all 127 pins plus a few pairs of earrings :wideyed:

Ooh pretty x 2! Hope the flea dealer was asleep at the switch. Swap Shop here means everything is free, and that's always a good price. AAMOF it's my favorite price. :D:D:D

A few non-jewelry items. I picked this hat up in a thrift shop for $5, bought matching metallic shoes and a matching metallic handbag. I won first-place in our women's club tea party hat contest yesterday.
