Vintage Costume Jewerly - what is it?

I was given these items in a lot of vintage Costume jewelry. I think the silver filigree one is a shoe clip (??) But I cannot figure out for the life of me what the rhinestone one is???!! It has 4 little tiny loops attached to the back that you could possibly thread something super thin through. Any insights are appreciated! TIA

 

First may have been sewn on to an article of apparel. A hat, perhaps.

 

I think it is a dress clip. It wouldn't live long as a shoe clip.

Dress clips were worn from the 1920s-50s. Often in pairs, but not always.
A single one looks nice on a lapel, for instance.

What's the size of the rhinestone piece?

The rhinestone piece was sewn to a hat or a dress. I'd say odds on the hat. The other is definitely a dress clip. You'd find out why, painfully, if you tried wearing that on your shoe...or your ear. I wear the singles sometimes clipped to whatever.

 

Dress clip looks German.

The AB bit might be sewn to something, or perhaps a component of a brooch.

 

These are shoe clips, note how short the clip is. It would be very uncomfortable to wear a dress clip on a shoe with that long clip

Small then. Cocktail hat decoration, I'd think. Lots of examples to be found on the internet.
