Can anyone give me any information about this incense burner, please? I think it may be Indian because of the three peacock heads holding the chains but I don't know, and wonder about its age and what metal it's made from. It's non-magnetic and shows silver when the tarnish is lightly scraped from under the rim. It weighs 337 grams and is 6ins in height and 22ins including the chains. Any help gratefully received- thank you.

Thank you all for these replies.....eagles! Well, tbh, I did initially think eagles because of the shape of the beaks! But the 'crowns' made me think they must be peacocks. Any ideas on the metal used - pewter? - and age? 19th-early20thc?

I see, after a little research, that it will most probably be pewter and 19th century.

The Lamp over the Bema? It's certainly reminiscent, at least to this gentile. @komokwa ???? I'd say eagles too.
