I've never had any Kirks Folly pieces so when I got this I did some searches. What I'm seeing is their logo is script, not sans serif like this tag. Also the ones I saw had the mark on the back of the pin, not a mtal tag like this piece.

So this is a fake right? Hoping someone here knows Kirks Folly. Just want to make sure before I remove the little oval tag and revise my pricing way down :)

Sorry, this isn't a great shot of the oval tag, it's tiny and was the best I could do. The circles left and right of the words look like false copyright or registration marks.

Hmmm. I'm just poking around, as I'm sure you've done lots already. The eBay seller of this one is not hesitating to list as KIRKS FOLLY:

It does not have a hang tag, but otherwise like yours:

You know what convinces me? The way the cherubs are attached with a star on the back. Suspect a forger would not bother.

It looks like an oval tag is hanging from the top of the center angel, I circled it in blue, that is where mine has the tag. And the mark is sans serif!

Holy cow, it's looking promising :)

I think it’s fine, but recent. I’m not sure anyone fakes it.

Those stars looks cast with the rest of the piece, so presumably a forger would cast the entire thing including the stars, using a mold taken from the original.

This is just reflecting on the construction and what a faker would do, not saying Marie's is fake. Like Obb, I don't think anyone would fake it.
    It is a fun brooch.
