Here’s another pair of glass candleholders from my father’s collection although I suspect these are pressed glass. (Opinions?) Does anyone have an identification? Date? EAPG?

Fostoria made a square pillar candlestick ("Square Step") in the American pattern 1924-44. It is the closest I have found online--but not identical. https://www.fostoriaamerican2056.com/candlestick-7-inch/
(A few sellers confuse the Square Step/American pattern with Fostoria's Eiffel Tower" candleholders with pyramidal base).

be interesting to see what colours Fostoria did their square step in, might be just the usual amber or such

Very nice. Are we sure these are pressed? The stems look like they could be cut. Also, the bottoms look like they may have large polished pontil marks on the bottoms. Am I seeing that correctly?

That is my Q too. At first I thought they were cut glass because I thought the glass on the right side of the china (& glass) cabinet (built by my father) was all cut glass. We called it Dad's Cut Glass collection, but I found many PG pieces also. It all looked gorgeous to me! But as I researched them, I found many of the pieces were pressed glass & that old pressed glass was often as elaborate as cut.

I am not secure in my "touch" of how sharp they feel. Some pieces definitely are cut (sharp feel & identified as specific CG patterns), but others that I thought were CG turned out to be PG. One of my favorite "CG" bowls was identied as PG with some wheel cutting added.

I tried to imagine how these candlesticks could be made. I thought that the basic form must be molded because of the rectangular form so I then assumed the diamonds would be in the mold. Can a rectangular shape be blown? But, yes, they could be cut.

Maybe I should see what the American Brillant group would say. (They do not want Qs about anthing other than ABP, however. I am still waiting to have my query about the pair of trumpet vases approved to be posted.) I looked through the candlesticks on the EAPGS' website & did not see a match.

So you can see I am confused--still trying to distinguish CG & PG. I am so glad that you questioned the "PG." Maybe my first impulse was correct & they are CG.

More on my PG or CG confusion from my father's collection. I thought all were cut glass but--eventually--I was able to identify these. I am still trying to identify many others.

This is American Brillant cut glass (Buffalo): pitcher-CG 640.jpg

I thought this was CG, but it turned out to be EAPG (McKee Yutec pedestal for punchbowl):

This I thought was CG but learned it is PG with wheel cut details. (Are those the striations in the flowers & the criscrosses?) (McKee Innovation): IMG 7646 McKee Innov 640.jpg :

I can't find these in any of my American made glass candlestick books. I've also checked in some cut glass books as well. Nothing. I'm still thinking, mold blown and cut, Maybe Irish or British?
Also, look carefully for acid etched signatures. They can be REALLY hard to see. If the candlesticks are signed, it would probably be on the bottom. ABP cut glass bowls are often signed on the inside of the bowl in the middle.

Thank you! That must have taken so much work.

Thank you for the signature tips too. I have seen cut glass pieces online that are identical to others that I have where the owners say (& sometimes show) they are signed--but I cannot find signatures on mine. I suspect it may be (1) my eyes (cataract surgery ruined my close vision) and/or (2) my ignorance/inexperience (don't know where to look) and/or (3) the signatures may be smaller than I think. I need to go back and look in really good light. Also photograph closeups in possible spots so I can enlarge the image.

Could be. My American (US) parents lived in UK (Shropshire) for a year where they collected china & glass. Plus my Dad went on business trips all over the world. I wish I knew where he acquired them. Family? Purchase? I just do not know.

Thanks, Iconodule. Really no work at all, I love doing it. Your Dad had great taste and it's my pleasure to see his pieces. Hopefully we'll eventually solve the mystery!
