OK, here's the amber necklace. Beeswax I believe. And another necklace which looks as though it has small amber beads. The swirls are horn of some kind I think.

 

Gorgeous. It is Baltic egg yolk amber, the olive-shaped beads are classic Yantarny mine amber.
Beeswax amber is Chinese, it looks somewhat similar but it has more of a radiance to it. And they don't have those Yantarny mine shaped beads

 

Egg yolk makes sense. I’ve got a beeswax necklace and yes, it is more shiny. I do love amber as you well know!

 

What's not to love about amber! And it has been a magic stone since pre-historic times.

I saw the reconstructed one, about 20 years ago. This was during a lull when things seemed a little safer for foreigners (with some cautions). The room was amazing! But I did wish we could have seen the original.
