hi folks a sweet little pot i couldn't say bye bye to

its very well made and painted, but the bottom doesn't shout antique to me

everything else does, but not sure that writing looks by an older hand

    looks like initials as well

    any thoughts appreciated

It's not old old. Maybe 80s. The bottom says Limoges, France, Paint Main - hand painted.

if ignoring doesn't work, maybe spelling it out might.................i don't value your opinion anymore
......especially when its laced with negativity (as it always is)

.......and helpful, pah (it never is )

Am I missing something here? I don't keep up on personal squabbles in this forum.
You did say any thoughts would be appreciated... and I don't see/hear any negativity in evelyb30's post...? You're the one sounding negative in this thread.
I'm now feeling a bit leery about commenting on any of your inquiries in the future. I'm not nearly as knowledgable as most here and I may repeat (ie: agree with) something already said, or say something you deem "plainly obvious" that was perhaps not so obvious to me.

Also not sure what’s going on.. but asking for any thoughts/comments is exactly just that.. Plus honest comments are helpful and appreciated and should not be seen as negative or stated as being ‘obvious’ as the members knowledge level varies greatly (or in my case lacks greatly)

i say it as i see bluumz, and if i thought you were ever doing the same...time after time after time....i'd tell you the same

i actually don't dislike evey (and shes damn funny)

but 4 comments of hers again (in a row) were just the same old negatives spelt out in glee

its not even about the truths of the matter...
...its how they are always made.....or delivered

so take that as you wish.....

and it hasn't made any difference anyway.......as evey is still commenting on my other post as well........hours after my response to this one

    .....with another hidden negative....................

    ...........

if i squeeze my tiny pea brain at the thought of the help certain people have given me (and always do)................

......and the other members  who always don't

its pretty clear who my friends on here are anyway, and they know that as well

    so i'm ticketyboo

Understandable, it is a cutie and that lid is unusual. Should you wish to part with it anyway, these wee boxes do well.

Initials on Limoges porcelain, like SE on yours, are generally studio painters.
And of course it says Peint main, with an 'e'.;)

yeah the fineness of it had me in a 50/50 over age (and if the writing wasn't there would have thought older),

but just the shape and the little pop lid bought it

can never resist that colour blue as well

    "resin!!!!!!!!!:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::inpain::inpain::inpain::inpain::inpain::sorry::sorry::sorry::sorry::sorry:

Arrrgh, I queried the possibility of resin in your bronze, alas I see it as I used to cast my sculptures using it. :(

i suppose it still could be house (cold cast), not sure how that tests with the needle method, it just isn't solid bronze ;)

Lovely little item. I can't add much more to what's already been said. I collect these little items when I can find them at the right price. I probably would have scooped this up as well. To be honest, it's not a top shelf box. Most likely a pretty souvenir. The box at $140 would be wildly overpriced for most collectors. EBay sold prices are worth noting with Limoges trinket boxes. The boxes that seem to be the bigger bucks are figurals and often have a tiny trinket inside that matches the theme of the outside. Think of an artist's easel with an artist's palette board inside. The SE is also notable as some collectors may specialize in boxes from a particular decorating studio. Hope this is helpful.
