Hey all!!! These are definitely not antique, but I need your help again. I went off the deep end and bought a really large jewelry collection. Most of the NA pieces are either Navajo or Zuni and are signed or had well known makers' marks, so they've been easy to identify. About 20 of the rings have this conjoined "WL" or "7M" mark with additional small markings. The small marks vary and are repeated on a few of the rings. The first pic is representative of the bunch as far as quality goes, so they're nothing spectacular but they are pretty. They all have different stones (turquoises, coral, moonstone, etc) and small tweaks to the designs. Is anyone familiar with this mark? 20251120_140012.jpg 20251120_140444.jpg 20251117_140029.jpg 20251120_140100.jpg

WL I think is more likely. Looks like there's a Night version, with a star, a Day version, with a full sun, & a Dawn/Dusk version with a rising/setting sun.

    Like the rhodochrosite ring.

If you are on Facebook there is a public NA jewelry group with a number of expert people and you can post the photo..... https://www.facebook.com/groups/2697139153802283

I agree, it is WL. Great marks, but unfortunately they are not in my books. Looks Navajo to me though. I have never seen rodochrosite used in Navajo jewellery before, but it works well.
The maker clearly has imagination, with the choice of stone, the nicely worked bands and the different celestial marks.

I applied to join one of the NA jewelry ID groups on FB, but haven't been accepted yet. Hope to hear back soon (fingers crossed).

I was able to find two pieces with the same WL mark, but they didn't have the small marks. The work is similar enough to believe that's it's probably the same artist. While both sellers think they're most likely Navajo, neither was able to identify the maker.

it doesn't look like traditional NA to me....... but maybe a newer artist , exploring newer materials and designs.. is a possibility ?

nice photo....... looks like the same hand made several of those , if not all.......;)

They all have the same "WL" mark. I have a few more that aren't in the pic, but it's more of the same.

Wish the previous owner was still around to ask. Seems like she found an artist she liked and went all in. Lots of things from the Yazzie & Begay families, James Avery, Zuni inlay pieces, etc.
