Featured Inlaid Cribbage Board Help

Not sure how old this is. Would like opinions on the material the person is made from. Could be bone, not sure.

 

Based on the arcs below the figures, I suspect the white inlays are ivory. There are striations across both the wood and the inlays, perhaps left by a saw or sanding, that obscure the diagnostic features so I can't be sure. But the arcs would be consistent with slices from across the base of an elephant tusk. And I don't see any of the typical indications of bone.

 

2many, any idea of age? Is this not sellable?

 

I'm also seeing ivory rather than bone, but think there's a possibility that it is from a marine mammal rather than elephant.

 

Unsellable where I live - no ivory, period.

 

Perhaps one of the furniture people might be able to suggest a date based on the style of the woodwork. Restrictions on selling would depend on the laws where you are located, and if you can adequately prove a date before any applicable protective legislation.
