I inherited a small creamer pitcher for what I assume goes to a tea set. I have searched online and cannot find the value of this little pitcher. It is stamped as Three Crown China Germany. I found, so far, that Jon H. Roth, in 1909, started importing from this German company and the Three Crown China mark was used for these imports. I found marks that are black and green in color. My little pitcher has a green mark, but with a green circle around it. I'm not sure, but I haven't found, online, any of their marks with the circle. Also, the painted flowers on the pitcher match non of the floral paintings on any other chocolate pot, teapot or pitchers, small or large. Does anyone have any ideas?

That was the only circled mark I could find. And no luck finding an identical design :sorry:

This appears to be the same pattern. eBay seller hasn't posted a photograph of the bottom or identified seller. Item #374210522064.

As I remember, Three Crown China was a large import firm which means they would have sourced from any number of German factories. Finding matching pieces is difficult and, as the decorations were transfers, there is no guarantee that any two pieces are from the same company. I'm wondering if this could this be a teapot from a child's tea set rather than a creamer? Either way it's a sweet little novelty item.

My research states that Three Crown China Germany was a maker not importer. This makers mark was used in 1902-1916 by Unger & Schilde, on items exported to the United States by a Jon H. Roth for his company JonRoth, based in Indiana. Many of their antique and vintage pieces, particularly those from the early 20th century (circa 1900-1916), feature hand-painted decorations. Common hand-painted motifs included roses, grapes, plums, and other floral patterns, often accented with gold gilt or lusterware finishes. This practice was especially prevalent during their time as a private company before the factory was nationalized in the mid-20th century. The above flower pot, with what looks to be matching flower design, is the only piece found, so far, that matches my piece. They did make childrens sets often featuring scenes of children or fairy tales. I don't think this is from a child's set. I'll keep looking. Thank you for your information, though. I appreciate all the help that is being done.

I never really followed up on what I published on my site regarding U&S, Roth and 3CC as their cooperation goes further than a regular importer/producer gig. Let me try again: "Three Crown China" was a customised creation used *BY* Unger & Schilde *FOR* their customer Jon H. Roth. I could also list two of the real companies behind the three crowns, but that would only confuse people not firm when it comes to the inner workings of the porcelain market back then, including transfer sheet sales and surplus dealers.

I'll leave it with that; chats tend to go south pretty fast when fans or collectors of one manufacturer can not accept that even their god-like producer evidently sold surplus to Unger & Schilde. Which turned around and slapped transfers purchased from somebody else onto the surplus goods, creating what I call a "Frankenporc" (as to avoid the word "b-st-rd").

Oh, never "b-st-rd," but an "assemblage created with parts from various companies." Don't want any piece of china feeling badly! (Or their owners...):hilarious:
