It's 6954 - it has the copyright. So it's 1955-1959 somewhere, with my money going 1955-1958. I'll have to get a photo. It's just a leaf with a row of blue bagette rhinestones, nothing crazy, but as a cheap throw-in I'll take it every time.

maybe if you had used that app on your own , to contribute about an item , on a thread , that you could shine a light on with more or better information..... to aid in helping people here........ instead of a blanket .... "you all should go there"... I could have seen value in a post like that !!

Save, the value estimates part , which we don't usually offer, due to some really constant and valid reasons !!

If u had said.... Try this app for ' value estimates '....... since we don't do that , I might have considered that as a helpful post....at least !!

Folks flock here for honest , thoughtful , help with items they have......... not to be advised to look elsewhere ........

I was reading a library book this morning and found this photo in the book. It is so sweet!

I was trying to think what to do with it. The book was published in 1999 so it may have been sitting in the book for up to 26 years. I think I'll send the scan to our head librarian and see if she want to make a poster or something asking if anyone knows who it is. I would be happy to return it.

If that gets no response I could find an age appropriate frame for it and put it in an antique show. Even if no one wants to buy it I bet it would get a lot of comments!

I scanned it and sent it to the head librarian, she said the book hasn't been taken out in years so whoever owned it hasn't been looking for it. I guess I need to find a nice 1950s frame

 

It is alarming to see these 2 thoughts together.

 

I didn't say the photo was antique, I said I thought 1950s. Here antique shows include vintage items, including items that are 75 years old

 

That photo is so cute.
I find many items in books. The best one thus far was for a dr bill that says the woman is indeed pregnant.

 

I know, it was just the juxtaposition of 'antique' with the decade in which I was born.

Is it just some alternative universe I'm in, or did the site just get reformatted?

 

The more I look at that picture it resembles my husband, my 1st son & 2 grandsons. Except they have bigger ears!

 

He looks kind of like my cousin Tom too, who is now 75.

 

Yea, I get it since I was born in 1956, I will be the big 70 in January

 

I'm a '56 baby, too, but at the other end of the year. I'm coming up 69 in a few weeks!

 

Oh, and I played Dale Evans (complete with fringed skirt and toy gun) to my brother's Roy Rogers.
