a great help thanks obb. yeah the blues (wonderful blue) i'm wondering if empoli as well (made in italy in relief) and surprisingly a knife and fork mark (dishwasher?)

 

The knife and food thing means food safe.

 

The oxblood (sang de boeuf) cylinder vase would be my pick of the litter! Cool stuff!

 

Aha !....well the foods not safe when i'm around, so perhaps some kind of hiding vessels ?

thanks me old bud....gotta a new concept when taking photos of something where to weigh into it the empty space, not just focusing on the object (if that makes sense )

 

Swoboda and Krementz both did similar pieces here. Krementz signed on their pin stem. If up close isn't in your eyeballs' bag of tricks any more, run a fingernail over the part of the pinback near the hinge. A longish patch of catches means it's likely theirs.

 

One of the local thrifts here had those as well for a few weeks, and they were sold today (not to me)
