I see this thread goes way back, but I though y'all might be interested to see mine- looks like same medal (sans bezel), and on the EDGE, it is marked "STERLING". Acid test of a light scrape on the edge confirms mine is SILVER.
Have you checked the edge of yours? You might want to consider that, if someone tries to buy it.
Interestingly, mine is shiny proof-like on one side, but dull like yours on the other. Must have something to do with the plastic sleeve and box it was in.
