I was revisiting my hoard in the basement and thought I'd look, once more, for a box similar to one I'd posted some time ago.

I now found a very similar box on Worthpoint that has a sticker on the bottom. I imagine it's in Chinese and probably is something to do with the price but I'm hoping someone can translate to be sure.

This was my original thread though most of the photos are missing now.

This is my little unmarked box

This is the Worthpoint box and label I'm hoping can be translated.

I asked AI to translate and got:
The Chinese characters in the image "代帝品 小盒" (Dài dì pǐn xiǎo hé) translate to "Substitute imperial product, small box".
This inscription likely indicates the following details about the item it was attached to:
    • Content: "Substitute imperial product, small box".
    • Meaning: The item is a smaller, replacement item that mimics imperial quality or style, likely not an actual imperial commission, which was a common practice out of reverence for earlier periods or to meet market demand.
    • Language: The writing is in traditional Chinese characters, written by hand in a standard (Kaishu) script style.
