I bought these 2 pendants for my daughters and they didn't like the style. So now I would like to be able to list them for sale but once again I don't know how to identify or describe them.
Each is around 1 and 1/2" long. The blue ceramic piece is framed in a silver metal but I doubt if it is actual silver--it hasn't tarnished in the years that I have had it.
I was told the green piece was jade. It's hard to photograph but it is carved with a swirl of vines or rope across the middle and ending with a flourish on the bottom.
Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention, the marks on the paper are 1" increments. Thanks again.

The blue and white one is a pottery shard encased in the metal.

The blue/white ceramic piece is what I would call "shard" jewelry - made from broken pieces of Asian pottery. You also see this kind of thing as the lid of a small trinket or pill box. I think the boxes are mostly from India.

    Hi,
The ceramic ones are pieces of antique china. I remember buying for friends back in the 1980s. Gumps in San Fran used to sell them. I bought 10 scroll weights to use as ceiling fan pulls and tasseled weights for keys to use in desks etc.

The one on the left is jade. And to me it looks like a nice piece with some age to it.
I would price it on the high side.
It appears to be in the shape of the Chinese gourd

Thank you. We couldn't figure out what it was supposed to represent. Well, it is my daughter's loss if I sell if for a million dollars. :greedy:

Just wanted to say to all of you that I listed these both on eBay tonight. Got an offer right away on the jade piece but I turned it down and then she sweetened the pot. Without your help these would still be laying on the top of my dresser and would probably end up lost or broken.

Can you post a link to the listing? I don't know what your user name is.
